Worksock
A century old design comes to life in our famous worksock sweater which captures the charm of days gone by. When we came up with the idea of a sweater to resemble the famous "worksock" we never imagined how well it would catch on! Demand for these appealing, casual sweaters with their versatile tweed body and cheerful cherry and white accents just keeps growing and growing. Just the thing for working outdoors, for puttering around the yard, for gardening or taking the kids to the park. You won't find a more useful, comfortable sweater. They're great!!

Cardigans
A cardigan is a type of sweater/jumper that ties, buttons or zips down the front; by contrast, a pullover does not open in front, but forms a solid tube around the torso. The cardigan was named after James Thomas Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan, a British military commander, following his service in the Crimean War. It is usually machine- or hand-knitted from wool or cotton.

Pullovers
A pullover is a piece of clothing, also called a sweater, jumper or jersey. Hence, the military uniform woollen pullover known colloquially as the "woolly pully".

Vests
The term vest derives from French veste, Italian vesta, veste "robe, gown," and Latin vestis, from vestire "to clothe". The sleeveless garment worn by men beneath the coat may have been introduced by King Charles I of England; a diary entry from October 8, 1666, written by Samuel Pepys states, "The King hath yesterday, in Council, declared his resolution of setting a fashion for clothes .... It will be a vest, I know not well how; but it is to teach the nobility thrift."

Ponchos
A poncho is a simple garment designed to keep the body warm, or if made from an impermeable material, to keep dry during rain. It is essentially a single large sheet of fabric with an opening for the head and sometimes for the arms. Some ponchos, especially those made to ward off rain, also have hoods attached. Alternative ponchos are now designed as fashion accessories. They are the same shape but of different material. They are designed to look fashionable and be loose and comfortable, rather than ward off cold and rain. These are often made out of wool or yarn, knitted or crocheted.
